User Interface for Seniors

IDEA:
Create GUI explorer application (exe/flash/web) that present computer services (address book, schedule, multimedia, structured data, emails, IM, web, etc...) in very simplified and accessible way (as for seniors and mentally disabled).

PURPOSE:
Take unnecessary details of computer system implementation away from busy or dummy user and let person concentrate on what matters most w/o getting into file system, drivers, settings, and other technical and maintenance details. This way busy person will save time and disabled person will have less stress using computer and network services.

PROBLEM:
Current computer-human interfaces simultaneously pursue two independent goals:
1) Make interface (explorer) visually pleasing and easy to use.
2) Keep interface functional nought for computer administration purposes.
Basically, function-rich UI controls made for tech savvy people who do not need fancy stuff so much. Geeks going to survive with command line anyway.
Fancy UI might be liked by mid-level users, but they do not fully utilize all the functionality offered and sometimes even confused by lot of choices and controls.
And the worst - beginners and seniors are left with no suitable GUI because they do not understand basic information technology concepts and/or physically unable to use controls offered.

SOLUTION:
Develop very simplified shell (explorer) application for personal computers that will expose only services with no technical or maintenance details. UI should be simple, intuitive and accessible like ATM menus.

EXTENSION:
Due loose coupling between UI concepts and underlying hardware such solution can be implemented as SaaS or web application.

TrialPay - Revolutionary payment system

How TrialPay Works for Merchants
How Trial Pay works for Consumer

TrialPay service offers consumers to pay for their goods/services by completing ONE offer from the participating providers. Provider pays affiliate reward to TrialPay for the purchase/subscription. TrialPay pays merchant for the goods/services.

Other words: part of the affiliate reward from participating provider goes to merchant and pays off for goods/services consumer purchases from merchant.

Being simple: You want to buy TV and pair of shoes. You go to online shoe store and pay for the shoes with the purchase of TV from online electronics store. Electronics store pays shoe store affiliate reward that covers your shoes.

Simple? Yes!
Revolutionary? No really. Just think how money laundering works ;-)

Brooklyn Borough Gas Works site at Coney Island Creek

http://www.dec.ny.gov/docs/remediation_hudson_pdf/224026_1.pdf
The former Brooklyn Borough Gas Works site (Site # 2-24-026) is located in the Borough of
Brooklyn, Kings County, New York (see figures 1 and 2). It is located on 873 Neptune Avenue,
Coney Island. The site is bordered by the right of way of the Shore Parkway and the New York
Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) railyard to the north and west, and Coney Island Creek to the
south and east. The site is approximately 16.4 acres in size. The area surrounding the property is a
relatively flat, densely populated commercial/residential zone.

...
The Manufactured Gas Plant (MGP) is a facility where gas for lighting and heating homes and businesses was produced as a result of heating coal and from combination of oil and water called "carburetted water-gas" process. The former Brooklyn Borough Gas works began construction of the first generator at the facility in 1908.
On-site disposal of by-products such as coal tar resulting from the operation of the plant has resulted in the contamination of soil, groundwater and Coney Island Creek through the combination of leaks from storage facilities including gas holders and direct discharge to the creek.
In 1951, Brooklyn Borough Gas transformed its gas delivery operations to a natural gas-based system. Between 1952 and 1959, the Brooklyn Borough Gas Company operated the MGP for the purpose of meeting gas supplies during high demands. By 1966, the facility was almost completely decommissioned and demolished.

An expanded consent order has been signed by New York State and KeySpan Energy Delivery that will require the cleanup of contamination at five manufactured gas plant (MGP) sites and seven gas storage sites in Brooklyn and Nassau counties.
